Privacy Policy

How OopsGene handles information when you visit this website.

Effective date: 3 November 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how OopsGene (“we”, “us” or “the website”) handles information when you visit oopsgene.com. OopsGene is an independent educational information website. If you have a question about this policy, contact talharaziq@outlook.com.

Information you provide

The website currently does not require an account and does not provide a visitor comment system, newsletter sign-up or contact form. If you email us, we receive the information you choose to include, such as your email address, name and message. We use it to respond, review corrections or consider your suggestion. Please do not send sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for your enquiry.

Information collected by the hosting service

OopsGene is delivered through Cloudflare Pages. Like other internet services, the hosting and security provider may process technical information such as IP address, browser and device details, requested URLs, timestamps and security events to deliver pages, protect the site and diagnose problems. That processing is governed in part by the provider's own privacy terms and policies.

Cookies and local storage

The current version of OopsGene does not set advertising cookies or use a visitor account. The search feature runs in your browser and reads a public, static search index. Hosting, security or embedded third-party services may use their own technical storage or cookies. Your browser settings allow you to manage or block cookies, although some third-party functions may then behave differently.

Analytics

At launch, this starter website does not include Google Analytics or another third-party audience-measurement script. If analytics are added later, this policy will be updated to identify the service, the information it may collect and available controls before or when the service is activated.

Advertising and Google AdSense

Advertising is not currently embedded in this starter website. If OopsGene later displays Google AdSense ads, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on a visitor's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and/or other sites. Visitors can manage personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings or learn about other industry opt-out choices at aboutads.info. Where other ad networks are used, we will identify them and link to their relevant privacy and opt-out information.

Where required by applicable law or Google's publisher requirements, we will provide an appropriate consent notice and obtain consent before using advertising or analytics technologies that require it. Users in regions with specific consent requirements may see a consent interface before personalized advertising is enabled.

How information may be used

Information sent to us by email may be used to answer your enquiry, check a correction, improve an educational resource or protect the website from misuse. We do not sell personal information submitted by email. We may disclose information where required by law or where reasonably necessary to protect the website, its visitors or our rights.

External websites

Articles may link to universities, scholarship providers, employers, journals and other external websites. Those websites operate under their own privacy policies and practices. We do not control how external websites collect or use information, so review their policies before providing information or submitting an application.

Data retention and security

We keep email correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain a record of corrections or manage the project. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We take reasonable steps to limit access to correspondence and protect the website, but cannot promise absolute security.

Children

OopsGene is intended for students and general educational audiences. The website is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. Parents or guardians who believe a child has sent us personal information may contact us so we can review the request.

Your choices and contact

You can choose not to email us and can manage cookies through your browser. Depending on your location, you may have additional privacy rights under applicable law. To ask about personal information in an email you sent us, contact talharaziq@outlook.com.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the website's features, service providers or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page shows when the policy was last revised. Please review it periodically.
